Congressman CAO meets with the DNIA on the Oil Spill

| Congressman will Respond to Questions from Neighborhood
The Downtown Neighborhoods Improvement Association will welcome Congressman Anh “Joseph” Cao to its monthly neighborhood meeting on Monday, June 21st, 2010, at 7pm. The Congressman will make a brief presentation and respond to questions from the community, including a discussion about the Gulf oil spill. To submit a question for the Congressman to consider in advance of the meeting, email joey@dnianola.org.
The meeting will also feature a presentation from representatives from the new mayor’s office for Cultural Districts about how residents, artists, and organizations can take advantage of tax incentives within designated cultural districts. DNIA will also provide a progress report and answer questions regarding a collaborative plan to redevelop the St. Rose of Lima church property on Bayou Rd into an education and arts incubator.
This meeting is free and open to the public. 7pm on Monday, June 21st, 2010 at The Musicians Union, 2401 Esplanade Ave., across the street from John McDonogh H.S. (free parking lot behind building) |
