Kids Club Green Demo with REpurposingNOLA.com

      12-1pm Free

Bring yourself, your kids and an empty can to Whole Foods Metairie for this in-store kids craft project. Learn how to create your own “herb-n-garden” for your family kitchen. (while supplies last)

Local Artist and Founder of REpurposingNOLA.com Piece by Peace, Traci Claussen will lead the kids club craft project. Whole Foods will supply the compost and seeds, RepurposingNOLA will provide the burlap and design supervision to help your kids create their very own “herb-n-garden” for their home in honor of Earth Day, April 22nd.

REpurposingNOLA.com Piece by Peace is a truly unique piece of New Orleans creating designer goods made from the fabrics of our community that would otherwise be discarded like burlap coffee bags, salvaged cypress from the Green Project, promotional tents and event banners, hops bags from NOLA brewing, glass bottles and cans.  All items are handmade in New Orleans from materials found locally. REpurposingNOLA.com helps you make local “eco” logical decisions which in turn are good for local “eco”nomics!

For a complete list of vendors, click Whole Foods Metairie Calendar, or search a Whole Foods location near you for more Earth Day activities.
