NOAH: New Orleans Arco Habitat

Design courtesy Tangram 3DS LLC
Three ambitious architectural firms have designed a 1200-foot-tall arco especially for New Orleans, dubbed NOAH (New Orleans Arcology Habitat), this massive triangular-shaped building touts to be as strong as New Orleans’ levees are weak.
NOAH proposes to be a habitat for 40,000 residents who can benefit from the planned residential units including 1500 timeshare units, a 100,000 sq. ft District School System, a 20,000 sq. ft. healthcare clinic, 500,000 sq. ft of commercial retail space, three hotels with 200 rooms each, three casinos, parking, and public works facilities. The proposal places this 30 million-square-foot SimCity structure (hurricane proof) on the riverfront, just across from the central business district of New Orleans. Who wouldn’t want to live here?
The green structure includes solar panels, water turbines, wind turbines, fresh water recovery, and a passive solar glazing system. A much better design than Trump’s Tower, now we just need to find somebody with enough money to build it. Click Continue Reading to see a video demo of this magnificent city of the future.
