About Us
Bienvenue!
We deliver the first local, 100% fresh daily eco-community for New Orleans from ecotravel to growing green and everything in between.
Our online shop features the REpurposingNOLA Piece by (Peace)TM creations fashionably redesigned from salvaged cypress, burlap coffee sacks, canvas awnings and draperies found in the Crescent City that would otherwise end up in the landfills. Each item is handmade locally in limited editions making ours a truly unique piece of New Orleans.
Founded By:
Traci L. Claussen ~ Chief Gatherer of the Green
With a 19 year marketing, sales & management career in the Radio Broadcast Industry helping local entrepreneurs launch their businesses from small market Ventura/Santa Barbara, to mid-sized Nashville and New Orleans, and the final 7 years in the nation’s #1 revenue market of Los Angeles, Traci is now living her decade-long “indie” dream returning to New Orleans as Founder of eco-news daily Live Green New Orleans and the REpurposingNOLA Piece by (Peace)TM brand, in an effort to help propel a Triple Bottom Line ECO-lution not only in New Orleans, but also through duplicate micro-communities across the country.
As a little girl, Traci had an eye for fashion, design, and creativity that developed further in her teens and has been evolving ever since. Full of wanderlust and relentless eco-energy, Traci is forever seeking ways to repurpose the planet and reunite the old with the new.
REpurposingNOLA Piece by (Peace)TM is honored to be part of the Idea Village Entrepreneur Challenge portfolio for 2010. Over 200 New Orleans entrepreneurs took the challenge to compete to be one of the final 18 chosen by the Idea Village group for nurturing and growth.
Look for the REpurposingNOLA Piece by (Peace)TM brand to be one of eight featured for growth during Entrepreneur Week 2010 New Orleans, March 20-27.
